Apple announced a standalone Siri app at WWDC 2026, marking what the company calls the assistant's biggest transformation. The app archives conversation history, supports text and voice input plus document and image uploads, and syncs across Apple devices via iCloud.

Google has added two new voices to Gemini Live—Flare and Glow—replacing the previous Nova and Lyra options. The voice picker interface has been redesigned from a carousel to a list format, while voice descriptions have been removed entirely.

Meta has added voice conversation capabilities and live camera analysis to its Meta AI app, both powered by the company's Muse Spark model. The features previously available only on Meta's AI glasses are now rolling out to the standalone app, which ranks fourth on the U.S. iPhone App Store.

Google has upgraded its Home smart assistant to Gemini 3.1, enabling users to combine multiple tasks in a single voice command. The update follows last month's improvements to natural language understanding and comes after reports of accuracy issues in the smart home platform.
