Google Adds Spark, Gmail, and Daily Brief Integrations to Gemini Live

Google announced a set of productivity-focused upgrades to Gemini Live on August 26, 2026, adding integrations with Spark, Gmail, Daily Brief, and Memory that let users complete multi-step tasks through voice alone.

The headline addition is Spark integration, available to Gemini AI Pro subscribers and above. According to Google, users can now issue "natural voice commands to set up complex, multi-step tasks" spanning the web, Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets. Google's example: dictate an unstructured brain dump of ideas while on the go, and Spark will organize the key themes into a structured outline in Google Docs. The company also cites a meal-planning use case — asking Gemini to maintain a weekly menu and generate a grocery list from recipes already saved in Docs.

Gemini Live also gains deep Gmail integration, mirroring the existing dedicated Gmail Live experience. Users can ask questions like "Any new emails?" or "Are there any urgent emails from the kids' school today?" and perform hands-free actions — search, summarize, star, archive, or delete messages — without opening the inbox.

A third addition connects Gemini Live to Daily Brief, available to AI Plus subscribers and above. Asking "What's my daily brief?" or "What does my day look like?" triggers a summary of the day's to-do list.

The final update ties Gemini Live into Memory and Personal Intelligence, matching functionality already present in Gemini's text-chat interface. This lets the assistant pull answers from past conversations and connected apps — for example, recalling a restaurant name mentioned during a trip or a recipe discussed the previous day.

Google says the goal is to remove the need for users to know which backend feature handles a given request. The company states: "You shouldn't have to guess whether a task requires Spark, a Daily Brief, or a quick inbox search... it connects the dots across your day in a single, unbroken conversation."

Availability

Spark integration requires an AI Pro subscription or higher. Daily Brief integration requires AI Plus or higher. Google did not disclose a specific rollout timeline beyond the announcement date, nor did it specify which countries or languages are supported at launch. Pricing for the underlying subscription tiers was not detailed in the announcement.

This is not a new model release — it's a feature integration layered on top of Gemini's existing voice assistant.
