Gemini Live

Google is rolling out new productivity integrations for Gemini Live, including Spark support for AI Pro subscribers, deep Gmail access, Daily Brief summaries, and cross-chat Memory. The update lets users manage multi-step tasks across Docs, Sheets, and Drive using voice commands alone.

Google is rolling out a July 2026 update to Gemini for Home that extends conversational memory to 15 minutes across the entire experience and brings Gemini Live to the first-generation Google Home Mini and Nest Hub. The update ships alongside Google Home app version 4.22 and new Nest Cam firmware focused on connectivity and reliability fixes.

Google is preparing to let users customize Gemini's voice output across four parameters: speed, energy, formality, and warmth, according to code discovered in the Google app 17.41.12 beta. The controls will apply to both Gemini Live and standard chat interactions.

Google has updated Gemini Live to access past conversation history through Memory and Connected Apps. The feature, currently available in English in the US, allows the voice assistant to reference previous chats and information from YouTube, Workspace, Utilities, and image generation tools during conversations.

Google has added two new voices to Gemini Live—Flare and Glow—replacing the previous Nova and Lyra options. The voice picker interface has been redesigned from a carousel to a list format, while voice descriptions have been removed entirely.
