Google is rolling out Gemini-powered features across Android that enable the AI to understand screen context and complete multi-step tasks across apps, marking a shift from traditional assistant interactions to agentic capabilities. Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian confirmed during the Cloud Next '26 keynote that Google is building Apple Foundation Models based on Gemini technology to power the next generation of Siri. Apple is expected to unveil the first features at WWDC 2026 on June 8, with release planned for iOS 27 in September 2026.
