Google is rolling out direct file generation to all Gemini users worldwide. The chatbot can now export outputs in 11 formats including Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF, LaTeX, and Google Workspace formats directly from the prompt bar.

Google's Gemini app now supports direct file generation and export in 11 formats, including Google Workspace files (Docs, Sheets, Slides), PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, LaTeX, TXT, RTF, and Markdown. The feature is available globally to all Gemini app users starting April 29, 2026.

Amazon has released a desktop version of its Quick AI assistant that integrates with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, and Salesforce, storing persistent context about user activities to automate tasks. The company also split Amazon Connect into four vertical-specific products: Connect Decisions, Connect Talent, Connect Health, and Connect Customer AI.

Google is rolling out AI Overviews to Google Drive alongside enhanced Gemini features in Slides and Sheets. The updates position Drive as an "active knowledge base" rather than passive storage and are available starting today for AI Pro, AI Ultra, and Gemini Alpha business customers in US-English.

Google has expanded Gemini's integration into Google Docs with new co-editing features that enable real-time collaboration between users and the AI assistant. The upgrade brings a more integrated experience similar to Google's Canvas product, allowing Gemini to participate directly in document editing workflows alongside human collaborators.

Google has released mobile apps for Gemini Enterprise, its AI service for business users announced last October. The update also brings @Google Chat integration directly into the Gemini app for Workspace subscribers.
