Google is rolling out agent-based video analysis for Gemini Flash models that dynamically searches footage instead of scanning frame by frame. Google claims the approach cuts token usage by up to 88 percent and costs by 66 percent while improving accuracy, with no added API fee.

YouTube is replacing keyword search with Gemini-powered conversational queries for Premium members over 18. The platform also integrates Gemini Omni, Google's latest generative model, into Shorts Remix to enable AI-assisted video recreations with creator consent controls.

Google has released Gemini Omni Flash, the first model in its new Gemini Omni family designed to generate video content from text, images, video, and audio inputs. The model is available now to AI Plus subscribers, with free access coming to YouTube Shorts and YouTube Create later this week.

Google is testing 'Ask YouTube,' an AI-powered conversational search interface that generates text summaries and organizes video results. The feature is currently available only to YouTube Premium subscribers in the US who are 18 or older.
