LM Studio

Cline Desktop v0.0.49, published 26 October, adds a Changes pane with per-file diffs, a project file tree and an integrated terminal. It also adds a Local Models settings page for Ollama and LM Studio, and refreshes the model catalog with ClinePass now defaulting to Kimi K3.1 Pro.

Cline v4.1.25 introduces Cline Cloud sessions, which run tasks in a hosted sandbox on a chosen GitHub repo and branch, and is rolling out gradually. The release also changes default models for more than 25 providers and fixes a five-minute timeout affecting local models in LM Studio and Ollama.

LM Studio's agentic platform Bionic now supports Kimi K3, a 2.8-trillion-parameter MoE model from Moonshot AI with a 1-million-token context window. The model runs on US-based servers with Zero Data Retention, priced at $3 per million input tokens and $15 per million output tokens.

LM Studio has released LM Link, a feature connecting its Mac app with the Locally AI iOS app to let users access local LLMs running on their Macs from their iPhones. The connection uses end-to-end encryption via Tailscale mesh VPNs and will be free during the preview period.
