Cline Desktop v0.0.49, published 26 October, adds a Changes pane with per-file diffs, a project file tree and an integrated terminal. It also adds a Local Models settings page for Ollama and LM Studio, and refreshes the model catalog with ClinePass now defaulting to Kimi K3.1 Pro.

Cline v4.1.25 introduces Cline Cloud sessions, which run tasks in a hosted sandbox on a chosen GitHub repo and branch, and is rolling out gradually. The release also changes default models for more than 25 providers and fixes a five-minute timeout affecting local models in LM Studio and Ollama.

Cline's SDK v0.0.67 pulls reasoning effort and budget controls from the models.dev catalog to match each provider's actual capabilities, while fixing a bug that forced redundant re-compaction calls on every turn. Cline's CLI v3.0.47 release adds full support for free Cline models with usage-limit indicators, makes settings persist across restarts, and upgrades the terminal UI stack. Agentic compaction is now the default context-management strategy, alongside several stability fixes.

Cline, the VSCode AI coding assistant, released v4.0.5 with support for Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 3.5 across seven API providers. The update includes model picker integration and pricing corrections for the model.

Cline released version 3.89.1 on June 11, addressing a critical bug where the Anthropic provider broke on VS Code 1.123 and later due to Node 24 runtime incompatibility. The update also adds support for DeepSeek V4's reasoning format.
