Cursor released voice chat on November 6, 2026, a realtime voice call with coding agents. It runs on Grok Voice, works in the Agents Window, IDE, web and Cursor for iOS, and runs with zero data retention when Privacy Mode is on.

Google says an 11-hour unattended run of Gemini 4 Argon produced two accepted optimizations for its Agent Development Kit (ADK), cutting in-memory session-preparation overhead by about 40% in long sessions and cold package import time by 21%. Argon also produced 4 modifications that developers rejected on review.

Amazon Bedrock now supports the open source coding agent OpenCode paired with open weight models including Moonshot AI's Kimi K3, OpenAI's GPT-OSS 120B, and NVIDIA's Nemotron 3 Super 120B. The setup keeps inference inside a customer's AWS account with per-token pricing instead of per-seat subscriptions.

Perplexity is using an OpenAI model referred to as Astra to handle software changes, communications, and production monitoring with less frequent human check-ins. OpenAI published the case study; specific model specs and benchmarks have not been disclosed.

Anthropic will switch Claude Code's default permission setting to auto mode on August 14 for Pro, Max, and Team users. The company says its safety classifier caught 89% of dangerous commands in testing, compared to 13.6% for human reviewers, and will no longer charge extra tokens for the classifier itself.
