Apple adds conversation recall and five languages to Siri AI in iOS 27.2
Apple is rolling out its 27.2 software updates today with several Siri AI upgrades. Siri AI can now recall prior conversations, draw on more personal context sources, and work in French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish in addition to English.
Apple is rolling out its 27.2 software updates today (October 26, 2026), and they add conversation recall, broader personal context and five additional languages to Siri AI, according to 9to5Mac.
Siri AI launched last month in iOS 27 as a major overhaul of Apple's assistant. The 27.2 releases are its first round of feature upgrades since that launch.
What's new in Siri AI
Conversation recall. Siri AI can now retain useful context from prior conversations. Users can ask about things they previously discussed, such as restaurants Siri recommended earlier.
More personal context sources. Siri AI can now draw on additional sources of personal context to produce better answers. Per 9to5Mac's report, these include:
- Photos attached in Messages
- Calendar event attendees
- Voicemails
- Better results from Safari history and Reading List
Additional languages. Siri AI now supports French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, expanding beyond English.
Faster on Apple Watch. Apple says that in watchOS 27.2, Siri AI provides faster responses than before. The source gives no latency figures.
Availability
The upgrades arrive across iPhone, iPad, Mac and other devices through iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, macOS 27.2 and companion releases.
Details not specified
The report does not name the underlying model or models behind Siri AI. It gives no parameter count, context window or benchmark scores, and no pricing is stated.
What this means
Conversation recall and the expanded personal context sources both let Siri AI use information the user already has on their devices or has already discussed with the assistant. Voicemails, Messages photos and calendar attendees are new inputs for answering questions, and recall means a prior exchange can inform a later one.
The language expansion widens the set of users who can use Siri AI beyond English speakers. The Apple Watch change is a speed improvement that Apple states without published measurements, so the size of the gain cannot be assessed yet.
The release also shows Apple shipping feature updates to Siri AI roughly one month after its debut in iOS 27, delivered through its regular point-release cycle across its operating systems.
The update is reported by 9to5Mac (Ryan Christoffel).
