Google Gemini app adds Contacts integration to find, edit, and delete contact information

Google is rolling out a new Contacts integration for the Gemini app that enables finding, adding, editing, and deleting contact information through conversational prompts.

What the integration does

The Contacts integration, available from Personal Intelligence > Connected Apps, allows Gemini to access and modify contact data from Google Contacts and signed-in devices. According to Google, the integration can:

• Add new contacts or delete/modify existing ones
• Find contacts by name, phone number, or email
• Provide personalized responses based on contact information
• Surface important dates like birthdays
• Share contacts with other apps when requested
• Suggest information to save and contacts to reach out to

• "What's Dana A's email address?"
• "Add Luka C to my contacts with the phone number 800-555-0150"

Availability

As of June 5, 2026, the Contacts integration is still rolling out. 9to5Google reports seeing it available only on one AI Ultra account that has Gemini Spark access, suggesting a gradual rollout.

Contacts joins Google's existing first-party integrations in Connected Apps:

• Google Workspace: Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Keep, Tasks, and Chat (enterprise only)
• Search services: Search, Maps, Shopping, News, Flights and Hotels
• Media: Google Photos, YouTube, YouTube Music
