Meta is launching AI Mode as a new search option on Facebook, powered by its Muse Spark model. The feature generates answers by pulling from publicly-posted content across Meta's platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, similar to how Google has integrated Reddit content into its search results.

Threads is testing a feature where users can mention @meta.ai in posts to get context on trends and breaking news. The integration is currently in beta in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Argentina, and Singapore.

Arcada Labs, an AI benchmarking startup, has created a new benchmark that pits five leading AI models against each other as autonomous social media agents on X. The test measures how well different models can operate independently on the platform.
