GitHub published benchmark results for its Copilot agentic harness, which supports more than 20 models from providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, and others. The company claims the harness delivers leading token efficiency while maintaining flexibility across model choices.

OpenRouter has released Fusion, a multi-model routing system that processes prompts through parallel expert model panels with web search enabled, then uses a judge model to synthesize consensus, contradictions, and unique insights. Users pay the sum of all underlying model completions rather than a single model price.

GitHub has added a feature called Rubber Duck to Copilot CLI that queries multiple AI model families to provide alternative perspectives on code suggestions. The feature acts as a second opinion mechanism, allowing developers to compare recommendations from different model architectures.

Microsoft is expanding Copilot Cowork availability and introducing a Critique function that enables one AI model to review another's output. The update also includes a new Researcher agent claiming best-in-class deep research performance, outperforming Perplexity by 7 points, and a Model Council feature for direct model comparison.

Microsoft has enabled its Copilot Researcher tool to simultaneously leverage OpenAI's GPT and Anthropic's Claude through two new features: Critique, which uses GPT responses refined by Claude, and Model Council, which displays side-by-side outputs with agreement/disagreement analysis. Both features are rolling out in the Microsoft 365 Copilot Frontier early access program.
