OpenRouter has released Auto Router Beta, a task-aware routing system that classifies incoming requests and automatically routes them to popular models based on community spending patterns. The router allows users to filter selections by cost-quality tradeoff preferences.

OpenRouter has released Pareto Code Router, a dynamic routing system that automatically selects from a curated list of coding models based on a user-defined quality threshold. Users set a min_coding_score between 0 and 1, and the router selects an appropriate model from its shortlist without requiring commitment to a specific model.

GitHub has added a model picker feature to Copilot's autonomous coding agent for Business and Enterprise tier users. The feature allows teams to select which AI model powers the asynchronous background agent that handles delegated development tasks.
