Hugging Face released Carbon-X, a 14-billion-parameter open model that takes DNA sequences and English questions and returns conversational answers. It was trained on 300 billion tokens and is designed to run locally. Its developers say it has not yet been validated with wet lab experiments.

Google DeepMind has released AlphaGenome Atlas, a free research platform containing precomputed predictions for the effects of all 9 billion possible single-letter DNA variants in the human genome. The 1-petabyte dataset includes a new AlphaGenome Variant Impact (AVI) score that combines AlphaGenome and AlphaMissense predictions to help researchers rank genetic variants by likely impact.

Anthropic released Claude Science, a specialized desktop application for macOS and Linux that connects Claude models to scientific databases and compute infrastructure. The public beta app includes analysis specialists for genomics, single-cell biology, proteomics, and structural biology, with native connections to over 60 scientific databases.
