Google has released Lyria 3 Pro, its latest AI music generation model capable of creating tracks up to three minutes long with improved understanding of musical structure. The model is available through Gemini, Google Vids, Vertex AI, and Google AI Studio. Google claims the training data comes from sources it has contractual and legal rights to use.

ElevenLabs has launched a music marketplace where users can publish and sell tracks created with its ElevenCreative AI music model, with the company claiming to have already generated nearly 14 million songs on the platform. The company has paid out over $11 million through its Voice Marketplace using the same model. However, AI-generated music lacks legal copyright protection, leaving all legal risk on users.

ByteDance has suspended the global rollout of Seedance 2.0, its AI video generator, according to The Information. The pause follows cease-and-desist letters from Disney and Paramount Skydance alleging the model was trained on copyrighted materials.
