Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark told the IMF 2026 annual meeting in Bangkok that "the singularity has already arrived, and it is this year." He cited Claude Opus 5.5 at 67.7% on Humanity's Last Exam and GPT-6 Astra at 98% on 50 unpublished physics problems.
