Apple plans third-party AI model switching in iOS 27, testing Google and Anthropic integrations
Apple is planning to allow users to select their preferred AI model for Apple Intelligence features in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 this fall. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the company is internally testing integrations with Google and Anthropic's models, expanding beyond the currently available ChatGPT integration.
