OpenAI launches ChatGPT app integrations with DoorDash, Spotify, Uber, and 10+ others
OpenAI has expanded ChatGPT with native app integrations allowing users to connect accounts from Spotify, DoorDash, Uber, Booking.com, Canva, Figma, Coursera, Expedia, Target, and others. Users can request actions like meal planning with DoorDash grocery delivery, playlist creation with Spotify, and hotel bookings through Booking.com directly within ChatGPT. The feature requires account authentication and data sharing; users can disconnect any integrated app from Settings.
OpenAI Launches ChatGPT App Integrations
OpenAI has deployed a suite of native app integrations within ChatGPT, enabling direct connections to external services including Spotify, DoorDash, Uber, Booking.com, Canva, Figma, Coursera, Expedia, Target, Quizlet, SeatGeek, and Angi.
How It Works
Users can activate integrations in two ways: mention an app name at the start of a prompt, or navigate to Settings > Apps and Connectors to browse and connect available services. Each integration requires account authentication and data sharing with ChatGPT.
Major Integrations
Spotify allows users to create personalized playlists based on mood or artist preference, receive song recommendations, and add/remove items from their library—all directly in ChatGPT.
DoorDash launched its integration in December 2025. Users can request meal plans and automatically add ingredients to their DoorDash cart for checkout. Currently available in the U.S. with participating retailers including Kroger, Safeway, Wegmans, and Fairway Market.
Uber enables ride requests for on-demand trips (not advance bookings) in the U.S. Users set up trips in ChatGPT and complete payment in the Uber app.
Booking.com and Expedia provide hotel and flight search capabilities. Users specify dates, budget, party size, and preferences, then complete bookings on the respective platforms.
Canva and Figma generate visual content—social media posts, presentations, diagrams, and product roadmaps—which users can then refine in the native applications.
Coursera helps users discover online courses by skill level, with ChatGPT comparing options by rating, duration, and cost.
Target launched a beta integration before Black Friday, allowing users to request gift suggestions and create shopping baskets directly in ChatGPT with same-day pickup or delivery options.
Quizlet (launched recently) converts ChatGPT conversations and documents into study materials and flashcard sets, with access to Quizlet's library of millions of study sets.
SeatGeek (launched March 2026) helps users find event tickets by price, view quality, and audience type (e.g., kid-friendly options).
Angi connects home improvement questions with professional matching and quote requests.
Privacy Considerations
OpenAI explicitly notes that account connections share app data with ChatGPT. For example, connecting Spotify grants ChatGPT access to playlists, listening history, and personal preferences. Users should review permission levels before connecting accounts and can disconnect any app at any time via Settings.
What This Means
These integrations represent OpenAI's strategy to embed ChatGPT deeper into users' daily workflows—transforming it from a chat interface into an action-oriented hub for shopping, travel, music, learning, and design. The integrations reduce friction by eliminating context-switching between ChatGPT and external apps, though they require users to accept significant data sharing. Success depends on whether this convenience outweighs privacy trade-offs and whether these integrations meaningfully improve upon native app experiences.

OpenAI claims reasoning model disproved 80-year-old Erdős conjecture in geometry
OpenAI claims its new reasoning model has produced an original mathematical proof disproving a geometry conjecture first posed by Paul Erdős in 1946. The company says this is the first time AI has autonomously solved a prominent open problem central to a field of mathematics, with verification from mathematicians including Thomas Bloom and Noga Alon.
OpenAI adopts C2PA metadata standard and Google's SynthID watermarking for AI image detection
OpenAI is joining the C2PA open standard and embedding Google DeepMind's invisible SynthID watermark in all AI-generated images from its models. The company is launching a public verification tool that checks for both C2PA metadata and SynthID watermarks, though detection only works for images created by OpenAI's own products.
